OUR BELIEF
1. We believe in the Holy Scripture, as originally given by God, to be divinely inspired, infallible, without error and the supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct (1 Thessalonians 2:13, 2 Timothy 3:15-17, 1 Corinthians 2:7-14, 2 Peter 1:20-21).
2. We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:13).
3. We believe in our Lord Jesus Christ, God manifest in flesh (John 1:1-14, Philippians 2:5-8), his virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:23-25; Luke 1:26-35), his sinless human life (John 5:17-23, Hebrew 4:15), his divine miracles (Matthew 8:5-13, Mark 4:35-41, Luke 9:10-17), his vicarious and atoning death (John 1:12, John 3:16-18 and 36, John 10:15, Romans 3:23-26, Romans 5: 1-2 and 8, 1 Peter 2:24, 1 Peter 3:18), his bodily resurrection (Matthew 28:6, Luke 24:38-39, Acts 2:30-31, Romans 4:25), his ascension (Mark 16:19, Acts 1:9-10, Hebrews 9:24), his mediatorial work (Romans 8:34, 1 Timothy 2:5, Hebrews 7:25, 1 John 2:1-2) and his personal return in power and glory (Matthew 24:27-30, Luke 21:25, John 14:1-3, Acts 1:10-11, Revelation 1:7).
4. We believe that because of sin, the entire human race is lost, and that lost sinful man can only be saved through the atoning death, shed blood and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ appropriate by faith apart from works and through the regeneration of the Holy Spirit (John 1:12, John 3:3-7, Romans 3:23-25, Romans 5:10-12, Romans 6:23, Ephesians 2:1-10, 1 Timothy 2:13-14, Titus 3:5-7, 1 Peter 1:18-19, 2 Peter 1:4).
5. We believe in the person of the Holy Spirit whose ministry is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, to convict the world of sin, to regenerate the sinner upon believing in Christ and to indwell the believer, sanctifying him through the truth, and enabling him to live a holy life and to witness and work for the Lord Jesus Christ (John 3:5-7, John 16:13-14, Acts 5:3-4, Acts 28:25-26, Romans 8:9 and 26-29, Ephesians 1:13, Ephesians 2:21-22, 1 Corinthians 12:4-6, 2 Corinthians 3:18, 2 Corinthians 13:13).
6. We believe that the church is composed of all such persons who, through saving faith in Jesus Christ, having been regenerated by the Holy Spirit, are spiritually united in the body of Christ, of which he is the head (1 Corinthians 12:12 and 27, Ephesians 1:22-23).
7. We believe in the bodily resurrection of all dead, of the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord and of the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting punishment (1 Corinthians 15:51-57, Revelation 20:11-15).
